This year again, the biggest award event for the PR sector was held in the Roundhouse in London. AVEX Events and Rentals provided the audiovisual support for the gala.
More than 650 PR professionals from Europe, the Middle East and Africa gathered at the legendary pop stage, the Roundhouse in London. The winners were chosen from a record number of 2,400 entries.
For the Sabre Awards we used dual projection screens of 6 metres each and projection by two Barco projectors. A presentation switch enabled the projection of photos, live camera images and presentations.
The room had two cameras that recorded the entire Award show. One camera was in a fixed location and filmed everything that happened on stage, whilst a wireless camera went around the room. The images were projected directly onto the screens and ensured all the attendees could follow the award ceremony up close.
The Roundhouse itself has a comprehensive lighting plan, but AVEX provided a number of expansions. Show lights were positioned on stage and two follow spots were mounted. Four shooters were positioned next to the stage and created a special effect when the winner was announced.
