Gastronomy needs chefs who experiment and research the creative side of gastronomy. With this in mind, Jonnie and Thérèse Boer (both owners of De Librije***) organised this versatile event. The theatre was the stage for several celebrity chefs. And right next to the theatre, visitors could get to know the rich assortment of products and ingredients from the Netherlands at the outdoor food market. AVEX has been a preferred supplier for this unique festival since the first edition in 2012.

The fifth edition of CHEFS (R)EVOLUTION took place on the 4th and 5th September 2022. Theatre ‘De Spiegel’ in Zwolle was the setting for the Dutch Avant-garde cuisine festival. AVEX was delighted to once again provide the technical facilities at this anniversary edition.

Theatre stage as kitchen
On the 4th and 5th September, AVEX once again had the honour of facilitating the visual technology and live translation during the 5th edition of CHEFS (R)EVOLUTION. During the interactive cooking demonstrations, a selection of the world’s best celebrity chefs present their cooking skills. This makes the event one of the most prestigious, international, informational and networking platforms for ambitious gastronomy. Highlights of this edition have been the presentations by Jonnie Boer, Rasmus Munk and Elif Oskan. During the event, the international chefs were subtitled live. The image technology or audio-visual technology consisted of a multi-camera direction which was shown over three projection screens. This happened via one of our advanced video switchers, which projected it into one beautiful piece.
