For Cognizant, the international IT services and consulting company, AVEX set up an Immersive Room with 360-degree projection. The room is used for interactive sessions where clients are fully immersed in a new reality. With the aim, to help companies navigate the changing landscape of technology, rethink current processes and take customer experiences to the next level.
Creative space
The goal was clear: create a space that fosters creativity, where people can come up with and visualise concepts and creative ideas. It had to be suitable for immersive workshops with clients, for example. In the existing large open space, a ‘box’ with interactive walls was developed in collaboration with Purple. The ‘touch walls’ enable interactive walking through a story together with the client.
What is an Immersive Room?
The original plan involved developing an immersive room with projection on three interactive walls. During the course of the collaboration, the project expanded further. The ‘immersive room’ became part of the overall upgrade of the creative workspace. Several displays were placed in this room to optimise the experience.
But what exactly is an ‘immersive room’? This is a space specially designed to place visitors in a different reality. Various technologies are used, such as 360-degree projection, sound and interactive elements. The possibilities are endless.
Service and support
As the space is used for important customer cases, an AVEX Full Support Agreement has been concluded, with a service level of 8 hours and a response time within 60 minutes. This ensures maximum availability of this crucial space for Cognizant.
Impressive final result
The result of this collaboration between Cognizant, Purple and the AVEX team was very good. The space created exceeded the possibilities for holding interactive brainstorming sessions, workshops and stimulating inspiration. A project where boundaries were pushed by all parties involved in terms of cooperation and creativity.
Companies looking for ways to boost their creative team or improve their customer experience should consider implementing an ‘immersive room’.
